Apparently September 30th, 2009 was the release date for the Birth of Shiroyasha (銀魂降誕) DVD. It's 45 minutes long and includes Gin-san's past during the Joui era.

As a Gintama fangirl, i NEED this to be subbed in English *A*




To commemorate this release i took a photo of the mini poster included in the second Gintama manga guide, 銀魂五年生 (Gintama Gonensei).




From the above preview clip, i noticed Takasugi genuinely smile. First time seeing that!!! *A* But the fact that he was covered in blood and holding a bloody sword did not really contribute to his sincere smile XD

Happy Mid-Autumn to Everyone~! This year is on October 3rd. Probably expect some mid-autumn oekaki from me during this week ^__^;; The above Chinese is probably the most Chinese i'm gonna type, because i'm too lazy and not that great at it...orz....

The above Chinese sentence basicially translates to me moaning the fact that i was too late in purchasing Wing Wah White Lotus Seed Mooncakes this year....orz.... I should have bought them when they came out about three weeks ago!!! Now they're sold out in around my area, and i don't have the time to go elsewhere to buy them. I'm so hellbent on buying Wing Wah mooncakes only, because i think they taste the best, and it's been a tradition for me to eat them ever since i was little. It's not like i love mooncakes, but more like i want to preserve this tradition of eating Wing Wah white lotus mooncakes. And why only pure white lotus paste you ask? That's because i don't like egg yolks, and i just scoop them out anyways.

The inspiration for this drawing came when i was reading up on Mid-Autumn on Wikipedia

八月十五殺韃子 = "Kill the Mongols on the 15th day of the 8th month"
One of the legends on how the Mid-Autumn Festival came to be was that there was a successful Chinese rebellion against Mongolian rule over China. The way to spread the message of the coming rebellion in secrecy without the Mongolian rulers knowing was by stuffing slips of paper into the mooncakes with this message.

I thought it would be funny for a cute China to be holding such a horrible genocidal message. I apologize if this offended anyone, especially to Mongolians.


gawd...i hate my fugly mooncake. It lacks planning, hence it's *bleeping* ugliness. And it doesn't even look that much like a mooncake....orz.....

An Artist's Work is Never Done

hahahaha~~~ how did Prussia ended up looking so evil??? XDDD

wowowow~~~~ i haven't drawn any oekaki in two months! Decided to do one today, since i wanted to use some stills from Inglourious Basterds as reference. I don't know if it's just me, but when i watched that movies, i couldn't help but think which Hetalia character would fit each chara in Basterds best XD The only thing i reference was the pose of the body, including clothes and gun. Using photos as references really help one improves their artistic skills. lol, this is one of the reasons i draw oekaki ^___^;; i also find that drawing oekaki is kind of therapeutic; calming and it gives me a sense of completion and satisfaction.

I was surprised Inglourious Basterds was not as gory and violent as i thought it would be. Since all these movie critics said it was. I found Kill Bill more violent. Maybe i've just become desensitized to on-screen violence....orz.....

Also, is it just me, or does Christoph Waltz (Col. Hans Landa from Basterds) look like an older version of Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter)?

Yuzuki-san and i were spasming discussing her new found obsession of maidboys. As a gift to celebrate her new discovery, i told her i would give her a drawing of a maidboy.

When i was drawing this, i thought who would should don the universally smexy maid uniform? I figured the perfect candidate just had to be Ciel. I mean, he's got that handsome Sebastian at his calling. i wonder what they do after dark? *hehehehehe*

By the way, anyone that's seen the first season of the anime KuroShitsuji wondering how they are going to continue in the second season?


i think i need to draw something more manly and non-yaoi now.... cuz all i have been drawing since i got back from my trip is yaoi.....orz.....

This drawing took me way too long. Well, it's not like i was working on it constantly. i did get sidetracked and starting reading a few yaoi titles <--that didn't help -___-;; I seriously wonder why i even procrastinate on the things i LIKE to do. I mean, isn't it enough i procrastinate at everything else in life too???

I noticed the background for this drawing is very weird. It's mainly because i couldn't decide the dimensions of the objects -___-;; That's why everything looks odd....orz.... and don't ge me started on the weird looking "hay". The sun beam doesn't make much sense either. i added that as an afterthought. I thought it would look cool; but instead it messed up with my originally planned light source. I found out that sun beams can make anything dramatic, anything.


So a little about my recent life. Couple of weeks ago i saw Ponyo in theatres with friends. i think this may be the fastest Ghibli film to ever reach North American shores; only took them a little over a year..... I'm going save my full fangasm rant for Ghibli films on a separate and upcoming entry.
Also, finally saw Harrry Potter and the Half-blood Prince on the same day (first time seeing two movies in a day). It was as disappointing as people said it was. But then again, the sixth blood was a transition book to the seventh. I didn't much like the sixth book anyways.

Alas, my friend and i have the time/chance to go see Inglourious Basterds tomorrow. I hope it's as good as they say it is :D
