Recently, like the scores of fangirls, i have been watching Sengoku BASARA. If you ever watched the anime or played the game, you know who Date Masamune is, and how sexy he is ^0^.

This Sunday afternoon i was at The Bay in Square One, at the causal/young men's clothing department. There was a sales there that wore an eye patch. I was just beginning to process how Masamune also wore an eye patch. When my mom suddenly appears beside me and says "one-eyed dragon".

If that sales had an eye patch over his right eye instead of his left, and slightly longer hair that wasn't gelled up he would have resembled Date Masamune.

I noticed because of Sengoku BASARA, i find eye patches to be smexy now. I also noticed that the sales guy wasn't really that hot; sure he was tall and lanky and not that bad looking, ok, more on the above average side. But the eye patch just upped his hotness level XD

Notice how i gave the exact location of where the guy worked. Because if you're in the area you can stalk see him for yourself XD

i will admit, Rene Descartes' "I Think, Therefore I am." scared me when i first encounter it when i was about 11 while watching Histeria! (love that cartoon, and introduced me to history) I over-thought about it, and just had to stop O___o yeah, i'm weird.

An advance Happy Canada Day to All~ (July 1st)

Truth be told, this is my first time doing anything acknowledging Canada Day; w00t~ i'm so patriotic..... There are a few inaccuracies with the RCMP/mountie uniform, but please ignore that orz.....

I slacked off so much and procrastinated, and finally i finished this drawing OTL

Things that happened in my life recently:
1. I got a tooth canal done.
2. There was a stabbing at my old high school. Five people, one teacher and four students were injured. One student was airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital. Luckily, no one died. (Maybe more about that in another entry)
3. Had an interview for an environmental internship i applied to.

Canada and America from Hetalia.

As you may have known June 6th was the 65th anniversary of D-day I was planning to draw this before or a day or two after the anniversary. But, unfortunately, i got sidetracked and just drew it today ^^;;

Just a little explanation about what Canada is saying here. Canada joined WWII on September 10th, 1939 after Germany invaded Poland. The US joined on December 8th, 1941 after the attack of Pearl Harbor.

There are tons of inaccuracies with this drawing, but one thing that really bugs me is the fact that i don't know what colour ties goes with those two dress uniform! i choose black, but it reminds me a bit of the German uniforms.

What got me sidetracked: Zion no Koeda (ジオンの小枝） <--- a hardcore yaoi manga. I find it an odd coincidence that i found this manga around the D-day anniversary O___o i don't know what to think of about the setting of this story.....

Another thing that got me sidetracked even more were BL manga by Suzuki Tsuta (鈴木ツタ） Her manga caught my eye because some of her characters reminds me of Gin-san >///< But the more i read it and think about it. I think i saw some Gintama doujins done by Suzuki-sensei. I tried looking up by suspicion on Google, but found nothing substantial to support it >3< So if anyone reading this entry knows, please tell me if Suzuki Tsuta (鈴木ツタ） ever did some Gintama doujins.

Who?

He's dressed as a Mountie, just because i wanted to draw some sort of uniform, preferrably military, even though a Mountie uniform isn't a military uniform ^__^;; I think all girls have some kind of military uniform moe/fetish :D..

As you may have noticed, i haven't been drawing oekaki lately, because now i have the time to draw things in photoshop. Even though this blog is called an 'oekaki blog', i just want to keep this blog alive with entries.

This is the reason why i hardly show anyone my pencil sketches. i mean look at it; it's so messy, filled with smudges and crap. i can never just draw one simple line; i tend to go over it back and forth like a mad man...orz..... i just can't draw clean sketches and envious of the many people that can >3<.

This is gonna be for Canada Day (July 1st). I know i am early, but i rather have it done early than late ^^;;.

So this is the finished version of my HK WIP. Truth be told, i hate this drawing. The pose is boring and uncreative. The lineart sucks, and the background is uninspired.

The photo background was taken by me in Hong Kong last summer. The place in the background is a famous place, but unfortunately i can't recall its name right now, or its significance orz..... It's like a really old road or something. You can tell it's old by the worn stone steps.

Anime North 2009 Photos~

Hong Kong from Hetalia (WIP)

Did the lineart for it a few weeks back. Lots of things going on, so i'm finally getting back to finishing this drawing on photoshop. A reason i think i didn't work on it was because this is the crappiest lineart i have ever done. Even in this preview, i see a mistake that i need to fix -__-;;

so what have i been doing, you may ask. I went to Anime North; the biggest fan-run anime convention in Canada. I read somewhere that it also has the highest percentage of cosplayers in a con in North America. I think that's true since if you're not in cosplay at AN, you feel like the odd one out :D btw, i went as Zura from Gintama, and i made my friend K-san wear my Ely cosplay ^^;;

Here are photos from the Gintama Photoshoot, and some of indivdual Gintama cosplayers. i'm missing a few since my camera died out during the Hetalia photoshoot and i borrowed S-san's.
During the photoshoot, we couldn't think of any good poses, so we dragged in nearby Naruto and Bleach cosplayers to pose with us XDDD (too bad i don't have those photos orz....) During the photo with the Ichigo cosplayer, all the Gintama cosplayers were screaming like we were powering up; everyone around us turned their heads to see what the hell was going on XD

Hetalia Photoshoot was so awesome~! It was like a show for yaoi fangirls hahaha~~ It literally became a show, Prussia acted as MC, deciding which group/pair photo, and taking the audience's request. i requested Japan and Greece :D ,and it happened! The first three rows of people in the audience ended up sitting down (ok...i was the one yelling at them to get down in the front ^__^;;), so people in the back standing can see.

Maybe TBC with my report of AN09 cuz i'm gonna go watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart now. Then the Colbert Report, and tonight's the first night of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Yessshhhh....i watch American late night talk shows when i have the time, and yes this includes Jay Leno, David Letterman, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, but not Carson Daly.
